Hildebrand wrote an early German work on magic, the occult, and unusual recipes.  He has divided his work into four books, each with its own individual index.  He cites ancient authorities, such as Aristotle, as well as more modern sources, such as Lonicer, and he divides the sciences into good and bad.  Information from theology, natural science, and human wisdom are considered good, while idolatry and wisdom in all the dark arts, pernicious to the human species, are considered bad.  Parts of the work are written in Latin, althought most of it is in German.

Subjects: Magic; Occultism; Science and magic; Recipes.
