INTRODUCTION

This INFOsource to Manuscripts in Special Collections is designed to acquaint scholars and researchers with the diverse collections available in the department. A subject guide groups these collections by topic.

These collections are also listed in the libraries' Online Catalog. For further information, we suggest that you review the printed guides detailing the organization of each collection located in the department. Staff members are available to provide assistance.

Use of manuscript collections is limited to the Special Collections reading room; no materials may be circulated outside of the department. Photocopy restrictions have been placed on some materials by donors or heirs who retain literary rights to their materials. It is the reseearcher's responsibility to obtain permission for use or reproduction.
