Description:
(1963+) Searchable index contains information on the periodicals and series covered regularly in the MLA Bibiography. The directory provides editorial addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, frequency of publication, descriptions of the periodicals' scopes, circulation figures, subscription prices and addresses, advertising information, submission guidelines, and information on whether or not journals are peer reviewed. The directory also provides statistics on how many articles and book reviews the periodicals publish each year, as well as how many are submitted.

Tips:
  • See the Serials source List for a list of current periodicals covered in the MLA Directory.

  • The "Show" dropdown box at the bottom of the screen allows the user to customize the display of retrieved records.
  • A small + sign at the top of the results page shows the number of hits received for each database. Counts are also given for all results received and broken down by type of material. By marking citations, they can easily saved, printed, emailed or imported into RefWorks.
