Description:
Chinamaxx houses the world's largest and most complete database on Chinese publications. It has a collection of 710,000 titles of Chinese literature published since 1949. Classified using the CLC (Chinese Library Classification) system, it includes 22 main classes and 52 sub-classes covering all academic disciplines. The content aims at enhancing academic studies on Chinese Social sciences and facilitating research project and paper writing.

Software Requirements:
Web browser, Acrobat Reader. These works are in Chinese. If you use a computer at home, it will be necessary to download a Chinese character recognition software available through the database such as Acrobat Reader. You may also need a Chinese language software (you can download it from the web) for Chinese language input. If you are in in Hayden Library, check with the reference librarians to find the computers with the Chinese language input software.
