Linking Library Resources to Blackboard

 

Why

Your students use your class Blackboard site to access syllabus, assignments, discussions, etc. By adding links to specific library resources to your site, you can make it easier for your students to find and use the resources you want them to. You can link to the general library web site, a web page created just for your class, or even to a specific resource. If you are working with a specific librarian, you can also link to their contact information, thus ensuring your students know who to get help from. This can look something like:

Setting up "Library Resources" section

1. Go to Control Panel -> Course Options -> Manage Course Menu

 

 

 

2. Then " Add Content Area "

 

 

 

3. Name new area " Library Resources "

 

 

4. Select placement in menu. It will default to the bottom of the menu.

 

 

5. Then go back to Control Panel . Under Content Areas , choose Library Resources .

 

 

 

 

 

6 Add desired items as "External Links".
