Biographical Sources
If the author is known, many biographical sources include a bibliopgraphy of the author's published works.


Bibliographies
Many subject bibliographies begin with very early literature. In the Online Catalog , do a keyword search for the topic plus the word "bibliography".

Library Network Database
Many classical papers are still cited occasionally - for example, papers by Sigmund Freud.
