Frequently Asked Questions

Off Campus Access to ASU Electronic Resources

All resources can be accessed by ASU affiliated users from off campus with your ASURITE ID and password unless local restrictions apply. For more information please see: http://www.asu.edu/lib/help/connecting.

ASU Library Accounts

Your ASU Library Account, together with your ASURITE ID and password, allows ASU affiliated users access to many services from on and off campus, including many of the library's electronic journals, databases and indexes.

Electronic Reserve

To access electronic articles for your courses, follow these steps:

  1. From the ASU Libraries web page (http://www.asu.edu/lib), select "Course Reserves" then select either by Name or by Instructor from the top left hand side of the screen. Select either to get access to the electronic articles from the class you are enrolled in.
  2. After selecting one of the above, enter your search. You should see a listing of reserve items. Articles (or other material) that have the designation, "Electronic Reserve," are the ones that are available remotely in PDF (Adobe) format (you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the files. It is available for free at: http://www.adobe.com).
  3. After reading the copyright statement, click on the link "Accept the policy cited above...." The Adobe Acrobat Reader will launch and you should be able to read and print a copy of the article (or book chapter etc.).
