Also includes interviews with businessmen, government officials and religious workers, who were closely associated with the Indians. These are grouped together on the microfiche. Reels 54-55 contain letters dealing with the Indian exhibits displayed at the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia. These are letters sent to the Office from various superintendents, agencies, Indian schools and other sources. They may be used to obtain information on the conduct of Indian affairs by officers in the field and on inter-tribal matters.
