This microfiche set contains individual state manufacturing or industrial directories. These can sometimes be the only place to find information on small private companies. The information given may be only name and address or may include a total sales figure or number of employees.

T 12 .M3 HAYDEN REFERENCE & SCIENCE REFERENCE
The "original" industrial directory, emphasis is on identifying suppliers of original equipment. It includes corporate, trade name, and product classification indexes. Information is very basic.
- Thomas Register of American Manufacturers also Thomas Register Catalog File. 27 vols. New York: Thomas Publishing, 1905- . Annual. (ASU owns latest year.)
The most comprehensive list available of manufacturing firms and specific products in the U.S. and Canada. Companies are arranged by type of product (vols. 1-17) and indexes are included by company name and brand name (vols. 18-19, "Company Profiles"). Actual product catalogs from many companies comprise the rest of the set (vols. 19-27). The Internet version offers many of the same features in an online searchable format but covers fewer companies.
