    These directories rank companies by type in a tabular format listing the corporate address and data on sales, profitability, employees, capital structure, and year established with a cross-index alphabetically by company name. The publication on Asia covers the Asia Pacific region (i.e., Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and China) while the publication on Europe covers Western European countries only.

    The first directory lists U.S. companies alphabetically in Volume 1 and gives the foreign countries in which each company operates. Volumes 2 and 3 are arranged by country and then by U.S. company operating there citing the foreign affiliate associated with each. The second directory is arranged by country of origin and then by foreign company with the American affiliate appearing next to it. There are also alphabetical cross indexes by foreign company and by U.S. company for the second directory.

    Arranged geographically for the real estate ownership and by SIC code for the businesses, this source indicates even partial ownership by foreign companies. Basic addresses and phone numbers are included for the U.S. company and the foreign company. Whenever possible, valuation, business description, revenues, number of employees, purchase date, and price are included. There are additional geographic and alphabetical indexes.

    This database provides basic directory and financial information on public companies from around the world. Up to ten years of standardized financial data in the currency of the country of origin is presented with a few key financial figures given in US dollars for comparability across companies. Each company's accounting policies are also listed to assist in judging comparability of the data. Financial ratios for companies, countries, and industries are included as well as monthly foreign exchange rates and rankings by country and industry. A list of current news articles completes each company entry. The latest update is also available on the library web as Global Access offering both increased access and searchability.

Company entries provide brief, half-page overviews with basic finance and stock data provided by Worldscope/Disclosure Partners.

    "Everything you need to know about the most important European and Asian companies." This work includes regional, country, and company profiles. The company profiles have a two-page format which includes an overview, brief history, important executives and offices, statistics, subsidiary and affiliates list, and a list of competitors. There is also a section for lists of rankings.

    Japan has three major exchanges (Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya) and five local ones. First section companies are those listed on the major exchanges which, among other requirements, have at least 20 million shares outstanding. Second section companies are roughly those listed on the major exchanges with less than 20 million shares outstanding. The second section handbook also profiles separately companies listed on the local exchanges and those sold over-the-counter as well as a selection of unlisted companies. The one-page profiles arranged by industry provide brief overviews including basic financial and stock data. An alphabetic index by company name at the front of each section handbook locates companies in that handbook while the one at the back locates companies in the other section's handbook.

    Formerly called Dun's Latin America top 25,000, this provides the usual type of directory information found in D&B business directories. Entries are listed alphabetically by country with a cross-index by company name. The second volume lists companies by industry classification (SIC) and gives a ranking of the top 1,000 businesses by employee size.

    Covers companies in ten Latin American countries. Each country has its own section with an introductory profile and stock exchange information followed by one-page company summaries arranged alphabetically.     A directory of over 50,000 leading companies outside the U.S. Arranged in three sections: geographic, product classification, and alphabetical. Company descriptions in Part I provide the usual directory information as well as the line of business, number of employees, and chief executive's name.

    Summarizes the financial performance of over 2,000 companies publicly traded in Canada. The entries are reminiscent of those in the comparable Moody's and Standard & Poor's publications. They entries are arranged alphabetically by principal company with an index at the front connecting parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates to the appropriate page and alphanumeric company designation. There is also an index at the back by 2-digit SIC major groups.
