Professional Associations and Organizations



This is a highly selective list of the major profesional associations of interest to our advertising and marketing students. Most of these sites are designed for members only. Usually the member directories, publications index, information about the group, and links are available to everyone.   1. Ad Council

    The Ad Council is a non-profit organization that does a great deal of work on Public Service Announcements. Many of their recent public service announcements are available at this site.

  2. American Advertising Federation
      http://www.aaf.org

    This is an association for all advertisers, agencies, suppliers, media, and academics. This site lists job and internship opportunities on its college home page. The Phoenix Ad Club is the local professional chapter of this organization and gives the local ADDY Awards. Local Chapters: Ad 2 Phoenix, Phoenix Advertising Club

  3. American Association of Advertising Agencies

    THE association for American advertising agencies. Also known as the 4A's.

  4. American Marketing Association
      http://www.ama.org

    This is the primary association for professionals in the field of Marketing. The Library (with some restrictions) and Job Listings are available to non-members. It is the parent organization for the ASU Student AMA Chapter. Student members should have full access to this site. Local Chapters: Phoenix, Tucson

  5. Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

    The Outdoor Advertising Association is primarily billboards, but does include other outdoor types of advertising such as buses, trains, airports, kiosks, and sides of buildings.
