Location and hours

The Architecture and Environmental Design Library is located in the Architecture North Building on the Tempe campus. The Special Collections area is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (and by appointment). Staff is available to assist researches in obtaining access to the collections.

Reading Room Guidelines

Special collections materials are non-circulating. Patrons are required to fill out a registration form once a year and present photo identification. Researchers may take lead pencils into the reading room, but are required to leave all bags in the Special Collections office. Photocopying of items is sometimes allowed but must be authorized by staff. Photocopying is not always permitted due to fragile condition of materials or other restrictions imposed by donors or copyright laws.
