Go to the main library web page at http://www.asu.edu/lib and choose “Course Reserves” from from the gray bar that runs across the top of the page; then choose “Course Reserve by Course” or “Course Reserve by Instructor”.
Any ASU Student, Staff or Faculty can borrow books from the University Libraries. Active members (dues paying members) of the Alumni Association can also bring their Alumni Card and a photo ID to the Hayden Library Billing Desk to be set up with borrowing privileges for an an annual fee of $25. Additionally, Arizona residents 21 years or older can purchase a Community Card for an annual fee of $100. If you are an ASU student, staff or faculty, your Suncard is also your library card. If you are unaffiliated with the University, you may qualify for a Community Card.
Regular circulating books can be returned to any University Library Circulation desk or bookdrop. Reserve materials must be returned to the Circulation desk of the library that they were checked out from. Reserve materials may not be placed in a bookdrop. For videos, CDs and special permission loans, consult with the library you borrowed them from for return policies.
The loan period is determined by both your patron type (i.e. are you student, faculty or community borrower?) and the type/location of the material borrowed. In general, 14 days is the minimum loan period for circulating monographs. For more information, refer to our Loan Policy.

Books from other ASU campus libraries can be requested online. For journal articles from the the West campus or Polytechnic campus branches use the Library Express Articles Request Form.
Materials that are not owned by the ASU libraries may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

There is no limit to the number of books ASU students, faculty or staff may check out. Materials from specialized collections such as videos, microforms and/or reserve may have limits.
No. The individual and group study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. To check out a group study room key, at least two members of the group must be present at the Circulation Desk.
