University Technology Office(UTO) University Common Computing provides a variety of Adaptive Technology equipment for use in classrooms. Our staff will make accommodations for students in any classroom with the assistance of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) for Students office as requested. DRC can be reached at (480) 965-1234. Some of the equipment we provide in classrooms or for checkout includes assisted listening devices, Headmasters, closed captioning devices, and trackballs for both PCs and MACs. A mobile cart is available for use in the Computing Commons classrooms. Special software and hardware accommodations can be arranged using the mobile PC cart. Each PC and MAC student mediation classroom has two electric adjustable desks (26 - 39 in wide).
In classrooms, all PCs at student and instructor workstations are equipped with adaptive technology software such as JAWS, MAGic, and MSAccessibility options. For MACs, Screendoors is available in the Mac student mediation classroom, Coor L1-54 .
