University Common Computing is currently recruiting service-oriented students to fill key positions in our exciting work environment that will be responsible for classroom support, computing site support, and call center operations.
Student employees of University Common Computing not only have diverse backgrounds and educational goals, but are also good problem solvers genuinely interested in helping people in a professional and courteous manner. They also demonstrate patience, tact, and have the ability to work under pressure in a demanding customer service environment.
Typical duties often involve a high degree of complexity and may include any combination of the following: assisting customers with computer and multimedia technology; providing support to a wide range of customers in Tempe campus classrooms, computing sites, and meeting facilities; demonstrating new and emerging technologies to customers; effectively communicating with a diverse customer base via telephone, in person, and in writing; and delivering and setting up computer and multimedia equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
The starting wage is $8.00 per hour. Scheduled hours vary from early morning to late evenings and weekends.
