Meeting Notes for Febuary 3, 2005

Announcements
  • Possible Veritas Backup Exec training opportunity on campus. Cost would be approximately $1,800 per individual. Contact Russ Mohn if interested. (russell.mohn@asu.edu)
  • Jack Hsu indicated Microsoft will be performing the ASU Active Directory Health Check-up next week
  • Jack Hsu reported several individuals are having problems with VPN from home when going through a router. Systems are being assigned 192.168.1.100 as their IP address. The following was recommended: use 192.168 as first two octets but replace last two octets with the last four digits of the individuals ID number. For example if last four digits of ID are 9876 change the IP address to 192.168.98.76. Information along with instructions may be on the web site soon.
