POLICY
SPP 404–03: Standby Duty Program

The university is not required to pay employees who are on call. As an exception, a department may establish a standby duty program due to critical life/safety issues and where a practice of paying employees to standby is necessary to assure a timely response.

Departments must obtain approval in writing from their HR Consultant to implement a standby duty program.
