Performance Management
Coaching

Coaching helps an employee get valuable feedback from their supervisor to get a new perspective on their job performance. It is active/ongoing communication that will clarify the goals and expectations of their job and help the employee accomplish them.

It offers the opportunity for a supervisor and employee to communicate. It also can help an employee understand how a supervisor views job duties and responsibilities and how the employee can improve.

Coaching is a commitment from both a supervisor and an employee to:

  • focus on exceeding performance targets
  • define performance goals and a plan to achieve goals
  • correct weak performance before it becomes an issue
  • encourage learning and generate creative ideas
  • help employees reach their full potential
  • better understand job expectations
  • acquiring new skills to improve performance
  • develop and harness a talent
  • improve listening skills and build and maintain rapport
  • analyze one's own performance and find solutions
