Where do responsibilities fall when an employee is called for Jury Duty or as a Material Witness?

What if the employee is subpeonaed as a result of a personal matter?
If the subpeona is a result of a personal matter, the employee must use vacation leave, compensatory time or leave without pay. If there are questions as to whether the request is considered a personal matter, contact your HR Consultant.
How is an employee paid on jury duty?
The employee is paid at their regular salary. The employee must remit fees received for jury duty less travel expenses to Cashiering Services. Please contact Cashiering Services for all information regarding remittance.
How is the leave recorded?
The employee can record the leave on their Timesheet that is accessed through My ASU. A supervisor or DTA can record leave on behalf of the employee on the employee’s timesheet located in Manager Self Service.
