SPP 704-02: Emergency Leave

Emergency leave allows employees to be absent from work for designated emergencies. The university president or designee may grant an employee a temporary emergency leave of absence with or without pay, for a specified duration, for reasons that are in the best interest of the university or employees.

When might this leave be granted?
One example of when emergency leave may be granted is in cases of natural disasters.
