This policy (SPP 809) applies to regular, non-probationary classified employees who need to improve their job performance and/or have not complied with departmental and university policies and procedures. ASU follows a progressive discipline process to provide sufficient feedback through written reprimands before an employee is terminated.

There are a few exceptions that may bypass the discipline process. An HR Consultant can provide guidance and general assistance if necessary.
