If you leave ASU, your computer account services will automatically shut off unless you have another active affiliation with ASU that allows those services to remain active.
Here are some guidelines to protect your account:
If you leave ASU, but are not retiring, your ASURITE account services will be suspended the day after your employment record indicates termination of employment.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Save or forward any important files, e-mails, or e-mail addresses to another account before your ASURITE account is deactivated.
When you retire from ASU, your computer account services will continue automatically for the next 50 years. You no longer need to bring your Retired Staff Sun Card to the Computer Accounts Office. Retirees do need to go to their Sun Card office after their retirement effective date to turn in their Active Employee Sun Card and receive a Retired Staff Sun Card to continue to receive the benefits associated with that card.
Retirees can keep their Outlook accounts and PPP dialup service as well as other basic services (such as AFS Filespace and access to the General Unix Server).
Employees who are leaving ASU, or retiring, should check to see if they have other departmental accounts like listservs or generic UserIDs that their student workers use to login to SIS. Those UserIDs must be transferred to someone else when the employee leaves. Employees may contact the UTO Customer Assistance Center to verify the accounts have been assigned to them.

Whenever you transfer to another department, you will lose security access to HRIS, CRM and the Student system on the effective date of your transfer.
To reestablish access, you or your new manager must request security access appropriate for the new position.
