Use  eHire to submit all hires, rehires, transfers and promotions (with the exception of student workers).  The eHire application is completed for all faculty and staff positions to be entered into PeopleSoft.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To obtain security access to eHire, you must first complete training. Anyone who needs access to eHire before Feb. 13 should attend the scheduled Feb. 5 training. After Feb.5, training will be scheduled on a monthly basis.

Online HPRs (Creating an Applicant/Job Opening and Job Offer for hiring purposes) and the paper HPR “Hiring Process Report” will no longer be available to hire an employee and set up their payroll in the PeopleSoft system. Follow the recruitment TAM process as usual to fill a Classified or Service Professional position and use one of the following recruitment methods:

  • Emergency Hire–Classified Staff,
  • Focused Recruitment–Classified/Service Professional or
  • Competitive Hire–Classified/Service Professional).

An Emergency Hire or Focused Recruitment must be approved by the Recruitment and Selection Services department.   Once approved, create and submit an eHire form to HR Data Management, which will then process the hire into PeopleSoft.
