The Benefits Office designs and manages a comprehensive benefits and retirement package. Their purpose is:

  • To deliver a comprehensive and competitive benefits and retirement package to recruit and retain diverse, high-quality ASU faculty and staff.
  • To improve customer satisfaction through high-quality benefits and retirement counseling, leaves and disability management, and plan design and administration while continuously improving programs, processes and technology.

The HR Benefits Management Unit administers the benefits and retirement programs/systems and provides consultation to departments on benefits, retirement, disability and leave programs. Employees also can make appointments to discuss complex benefits, retirement and leaves issues.

The HR Benefits Design & Compliance Unit designs and communicates benefits,disability, leaves, and retirement programs and systems and ensures legislative and plan compliance.  This team provides consultative services on plan/program design and compliance, conducts research and analysis to improve programs, and designs and documents new plans, systems, employee communications, websites, and presentations.
