Renewal for 2010-2011 on-campus housing is here!


Now that you’ve made ASU your home away from home, you know how fun and convenient living on campus is. As a student who currently lives on campus, you have the opportunity to have first pick of on-campus housing for next year!

The process to select your room is easy – you won’t even need to leave the comfort of your room. Don’t miss the chance to get your preferred housing assignment and get ready for another great year at ASU!

University Housing will begin to accept renewal requests through the online process starting at 8 a.m. on the first day through 5 p.m. on the last day of each set of dates. 

Step One
Preparing to renew

  1. Web Browser Requirements
    1. This site is best viewed using IE and a monitor resolution of 1024 x 768.
    2. If you are using a Mac, recommended browsers are Netscape V7.0 and higher.
    3. If you are using a PC, recommended browsers are IE v6.0 and higher.
    4. If you are using IE or Netscape and are not experiencing problems, there is no need to upgrade or switch browsers.
    5. Please note: RMS is not compatible with Mozilla Firefox browsers.
    6. This site uses pop-ups. Before logging in, please configure your browser or pop-up blocker software to allow for pop-ups from this specific site.
    7. Please have both Javascript and Active-X control options enabled.
  2. This process will take about 10 minutes make sure you have enough time to read and complete all necessary steps. If you do not complete the renewal process in full you may not receive your renewal preference
  3. Know when it is your time to log in
  4. ASU ID and login information
  5. If your potential roommate is eligible for the same log in period then you may want to try to complete the process at the same time for the best chance at becoming roommates. If your roommate preference is not eligible for the same log in period we cannot guarantee that your room will be available at a later time. The roommate match may not be possible during renewal.

Step Two
Renew online

  1. Follow the online process step by step: 1). License agreement, 2). preference selection, 3). print preference page
  2. Once you have completed this process you will not be able to log in again. Contact the housing office on your campus if you have additional questions about your preferences.

Step Three
Review Schedule of charges and Deadlines

  1. Review and understand the schedule of charges and deadlines. It has important information regarding cancellation and payment due dates.
  2. 2010 – 2011 rates for Tempe, West and Poly will be available in late March. Please refer to the 2009 rates for the 2009 cost of your room preferences.

What you need to know before completing renewal

If you are under the age of 18, you and your parent/legal guardian must both sign a University Housing License Agreement.

University Housing will begin to accept renewal requests through the online process starting at 8 a.m. on the first day through 5 p.m. on the last day of each set of dates. 

If you are having trouble logging on to the system, please keep trying.  You may need to be patient because there will be many other students trying to access the server at the same time. If you still cannot utilize the online renewal process, please come to the University Housing office located on your campus and we can process your renewal request in person.

January 20- 24*
Same Hall and Same Room

If you are currently a non-first time freshman, you can have first pick and renew your on-campus housing for 2010-2011 for the same room you currently live in.

For students currently living in:

  • Barrett: Cottonwood, Juniper, Rosewood, Sage N. Sage S. Willow
  • Cholla, McClintock and Towers
  • Las Casas building A
  • Palo Blanco
  • Polytechnic Shared Houses
  • Taylor Place Tower II floors 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13 ,14
     

January 27- 31*
Students Affected by Residential College Hall Location Change

If you are currently a non-first time freshman, who lives in a Residential Colleges that will be located in a different hall location for 2010-2011, you can renew your on-campus housing for 2010-2011 during this period.

For students currently living in:

  • Cholla A & B, floors 2, 3, and 4
  • Cholla G floors 1, 2 and 3 (Global Village students only)
  • Las Casas B wing
  • Taylor Place, Tower I floor 3 (going to Tower II, floors 10 and 11)
     

February 3- 7*
Same Hall/Complex but Different Room

If you are currently a non-first time freshman or a first time freshman living in the Barrett Honors Complex, you can renew your on-campus housing for 2010-2011 for a different room in the hall/complex you currently live in.

For students currently living in:

  • Adelphi Commons
  • Barrett Complex
  • Cholla
  • Las Casas building A
  • McClintock
  • Palo Blanco
  • Polytechnic Shared Houses
  • Taylor Place, Tower I and II
  • University Towers
     

February 10- 14*
Different Hall and Different Room

If you currently are a first time freshman and want to live in an upper division hall or if you currently are a non-first time freshman student but want to live in a different hall for 2010-2011, you can renew your on-campus housing for a different hall and different room than where you currently live.
 

February 10- 14*
Any Current Resident

If you currently live on campus but have not yet taken advantage of the opportunity to renew on-campus housing for 2010-2011, you can renew during this period to the same hall and same room (if available), the same hall/complex but a different room, or a different hall and different room than where you currently live.
