Faculty Info
Dear Faculty,
University Ceremonies are celebrations in the life of the university. They keep ceremonial traditions alive in the modern academic institution. Faculty have an important role in these ceremonies, and we appreciate your time to participate.
All Faculty
Faculty participants are required to wear appropriate academic regalia. Academic regalia may be rented or purchased through any ASU Bookstore. Please visit the ASU Bookstore website for more information.
Faculty Representing Colleges
Faculty whose names have been forwarded to the University Ceremonies Office by the Dean's Office of their college are asked to arrive at Wells Fargo Arena, Room 166, Sun Devil Lounge, at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the commencement ceremony. Faculty will be lined up by commencement volunteers.
Faculty who have not had their names submitted for participation but who would like to take part in the commencement ceremony may do so by submitting a notice of participation to the Office of University Ceremonies at commence@asu.edu.

Regents’ Professors/ President’s Professors
Regents' Professors will process as a group immediately in front of the general faculty procession. Regents' and President's faculty are asked to wear their medallions. Regents’ Professors and President's Professors who are scheduled to hood a doctoral candidate may still participate in the processional. Please contact the University Ceremonies Office for more information. Regents’ Professors and President’s Professors will line up with all faculty in Sun Devil Lounge, Wells Fargo Arena, Room 166.
Faculty Hooders
Faculty who will be hooding a doctoral candidate at University Commencement will need to enter the arena through the west tunnel of Wells Fargo Arena and proceed to the main floor. There you will be directed to your seat by volunteers for the Graduate College.
