My Fair Lady

NOW: Selections from the Ovitz Family Collection

ASU Art Museum, Tempe Campus

Featuring a group of international contemporary artists, the exhibition showcases artworks that are fresh from the artists’ studios.  Dating from 2006 to 2008, the works illustrate the most recent trends in contemporary art. Reception: 7-9 p.m., Sept. 26.

Artists featured in NOW include Mark Bradford, Anders Clausen, Nigel Cooke, Isa Genzken, Rachel Harrison, Richard Hughes, Jamie Isenstein, Katy Moran, Anselm Reyle, Stephen G. Rhodes, Sterling Ruby, Andro Wekua, and Thomas Zipp. Richard Hughes and Andro Wekua will also be part of Life on Mars: 55th Carnegie International opening in May 2008. Rachel Harrison is featured in the 2008 Whitney Biennial.

July 24 – Photography demonstration by Erica Velasco, Piper Writers House.
July 25 – Greeting card demonstration by Karen Lamb, Piper Writers House.
July 29 – Ceramics demonstration by Cynthia Milberger, Piper Writers House.
July 30 – Organ music by Kevin Snow, vocal music by Bonita Power and Rob Spindler, Organ Hall.
July 31 – Fair Isle knitting demonstration by Jeanne Davidson, Piper Writers House.
Aug. 7 – "Why Writers Need a Group," Raye Thomas, Ann Bergin, Pat Hays, plus reading, Piper Writers House.
