GPSA Grant & Funding Opportunities

GPSA offers several competitive funding opportunities for graduate students and graduate student organizations.

Research Grant Competition

The GPSA Research Grant Competition is an annual program administered by GPSA and sponsored by the Division of Graduate Students and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Affairs. Award recipients receive up to $2000 towards masters and dissertation projects. This program is administered through the GPSA Vice President of Internal Affairs and the Director of Graduate Research.

Application/proposal information for the Fall 2007 Research Grant Competition is now available. Click here for general information, deadlines and links. The deadline for Letters of Intent is Friday, August 31, 2007 (4PM) and the deadline for full proposals is Thursday, September 13, 2007 (4PM).

Conference Travel Grant Competition

GPSA offers Conference Travel Grants for students attending regional, national and international professional conferences. The maximum award is $500 annually. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and are not guaranteed. Grants will be awarded monthly for travel occurring from August 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008. This program is administered through the GPSA Vice President of Internal Affairs and the Director of Conference Travel.

Professional Development Travel Grant Competition

GPSA offers Professional Development Travel Grants for students attending professional development workshops, training, exhibitions, competitions, and interviews/auditions for internships resulting in academic credit. Travel falling under the Conference Travel program (see above) is NOT eligible for this competition. The maximum award is $500 annually. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and are not guaranteed. Grants will be awarded monthly for travel occurring from August 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008. This program is administered through the GPSA Vice President of Professional Programs.

Graduate Student Organization Event and Program Funding

GPSA offers funding for graduate student organizations event funding. Applications are submitted to the GPSA Assembly for consideration. This program is administered through the GPSA Assembly President.
