Apply to Serve as a Research Grant Reviewer
A: Terminal research (defined as directly benefiting your Thesis or Dissertation) is limited to a maximum award of $2000.00, while independent research is limited to $750.00 maximum award.
A: Yes you can. Please specify those individuals on your application under the co-applicant information section.
A: Your reimbursement date starts the day that you SUBMIT (not start) your application and ends June 30. Any receipts that you are looking to be reimbursed for must fall within that date range.
A: We anticipate that the final award notifications will be made by November 2nd.
A: October 2, 2009 by 5:00pm Arizona Time
A: First, create an online profile. Then, go to www.nimble-net.com/gpsa to submit an application.
A: No. We no longer require a letter of intent.
A: Yes! You will receive an e-mail requesting that information after you have submitted your application and after the application deadline.
A: Graduate students in your specified field (or closely related field).
A: Yes. Please indicate that person’s name and contact information in the requested field. We will be sending that person an e-mail requesting that information after the deadline.
A: While you are not required to have matching or outside funds, we highly suggest that you attempt to find outside funds as this makes your application more competitive (insofar that we can foresee you completing the entire project). However, outside funds can include your anticipated contributions to the project should you receive partial funding.
A: Yes, funding can be used for travel if the travel relates to the research. However, grant funds can not be used for travel to conferences to present research.
A: Individuals can apply for more than one grant, but the projects have to be absolutely different.
A: Yes, there is no limit on applying in different years. However, the application cannot be for the same project that was funded in the past.
