Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all employees understand the university and departmental expectations for time reporting.

Supervisors must also work with the Department Time Administrators (DTAs) to ensure “line of sight,” i.e., the ability of the DTA to obtain direct knowledge that the time the employee is processing is accurate and complete.

Supervisors must review and approve all timesheets every pay period to ensure that time worked and that paid time off is being accurately reported.

Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that pay reports for each pay period are being reconciled in accordance with university practice. (Please review Financial Services’ Best Practices for information on payroll reconciliation).

Supervisors also ensure that any manual payroll corrections are submitted no later than the “due date” noted on the Biweekly Payroll Calendar.
