Join us March 18 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Arizona State University!

Founders’ Day brings together university and community leaders to celebrate ASU's successes and recognize the individuals who perpetuate the growth and diversity envisioned by the founders of this institution.

We invite you to join us for an elegant evening celebrating the founding of ASU and honoring the individuals who have advanced the prestige and principles of our beloved institution.

This year, we will honor the classes of 1956 through 1959, who worked diligently to assure the passage of the ballot initiative that mandated the name change to Arizona State University, with the James W. Creasman Award.

This highly distinguished award recognizes those whose contributions to the Alumni Association, ASU, and the community illustrate those qualities exemplified by James Creasman, who served as the Alumni Association’s first full-time executive secretary and who was instrumental in the passage of the name-change initiative.

We will also honor Lt. Gen. Frank J. Sackton, a professor emeritus of ASU and an alumnus; his service to the university symbolizes the excellence among alumni, faculty and staff that has characterized the institution since it was chartered in 1885.
