Administrative Services
MISSION STATEMENT To provide excellence in administrative services to the University and community in support of Arizona State University, the New American University. ADMINISTRATION University Services is comprised of approximately 650 team members. Administrative Services team members are responsible for providing centralized program support and direction to the Division of University Services. Administrative Services develops, administers, monitors and provides division-wide support and program oversight in the areas of: organizational development, compensation/classification, position management, salary planning, employment, temporary services, recruitment, leave of absence programs, worker’s compensation, alternate duty, time and attendance, performance management, service awards, policies and procedures, employee relations, safety/hotline compliance, goals and accomplishment program, audits, data analysis, reporting, Suggestion Box Management, database development, web updates, process improvement and information technology services. DATA MANAGEMENT SERVICES Data Management Services Unit within University Services, Administrative Services is dedicated to providing a broad range of data solutions to departments within the Division of University Services. Data Management Services designs and maintains comprehensive databases; conducts data analysis; data quality assurance; manages division-wide goals and accomplishments; tracks ABOR audits; prepares reports and provides technical customer service support. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS The University Services, Administrative Services, Employee Relations Unit administers the division's progressive disciplinary program, provides guidance in resolution of workplace conflicts, educates and guides employees, administrators, managers and supervisors on a variety of employee relations issues, consults in matters related to staff personnel policies, procedures and programs, and develops and implements new programs and policies. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Information Technology Services will lead and manage division-wide technology initiatives in support of goals of the division and of the New American University. Additionally, this team manages the division-wide University Services websites, and develops and maintains web applications to accomodate the divisions business and operational needs. MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES Management Support Services assists University Services management with all facets of the employment process from the initial job posting through the recruitment process until a hire is made. These services encompass all staffing needs, including temporary and student employment. All employee leaves of absence are coordinated by this group, which provides consultation to both supervisors and employees regarding available types of leave. In addition to leave coordination, employee time and attendance records are processed to ensure correct payment for all leaves as well as accurate compensation for time worked.
