I am a PhD candidate in Rhetoric, Composition and the Teaching of English at the University of Arizona. I taught composition and literature courses at several colleges in California prior to coming to Arizona in 2003. Between 2003 and 2008 I taught at the University of Arizona and have been teaching first-year composition at ASU since 2007. My recent scholarly work has been focused on rhetoric in popular history, new media, and nationalism.
