Arizona universities and community colleges have
worked together to develop a system for helping you see how courses
taken at any Arizona public community college will transfer to a
selected major.
As an admitted student at ASU, you can see how your courses have
been transferred by requesting a
DARS report. Your DARS report will match the classes you've
taken against the requirements of the degree you are seeking. Follow the directions below to request a DARS
report:
- Go to ASU's Student
Online Services
- Select "Request/View
your Degree Audit (DARS) - For Undergraduates"
- Enter your ASURITE UserID and password
- Select "Request/View
Your Degree Audit (DARS)"
- Select campus and major--use "General
Studies" if you're not sure which major you want
- Select catalog year (use the year you started at
the Community College)
- Request audit and follow on-screen instructions
Only the courses we know about will show
up on your DARS report (in other words, if we don't have an official
transcript, your courses won't show up in DARS). If you have additional courses
that have not been reported on an official transcript, the Course
Applicability System (CAS) Planning Guide allows you to see how
those courses will transfer to ASU. This
requires you to enter the course and grade information for the classes
you've completed, or intend to complete at an Arizona community
college. Follow the steps below to request your planning guide:
- Start at the CAS
Web Site.
- Select "Go to CAS" from the sidebar
menu
- Set up an account (free!)
- Enter your courses you've taken at an Arizona
public community college--select "Your Courses" from the
sidebar
- Request a planning guide for the degree you have
selected. (See help in CAS and select "First Visit".)
The Planning guide will look exactly like your DARS
report, but keep in mind that the planning guide is not an
official evaluation. Also, keep in mind that classes in
progress, or incomplete transcripts cannot be evaluated until final grades are posted and an
official transcript is sent to ASU.
