Non-traditional students: Oh, the luxury of the days without
mouths to feed and a mortgage to pay, right? Most traditional
college students don’t know what it means to worry about not
only getting yourself to school, but getting the kids to school
or figuring out who is making dinner this evening. Also,
everywhere you look on campus, there are clubs and activities
that seem dedicated to those 18-24 year olds. What about the
problems and concerns of returning to college after being out of
school for ten, twenty, thirty years? There are special
considerations that come into play when being a non-traditional
student, whether it is supporting a family, or having the kids
be supervised while you are trying to enter a new career path.
When Friday nights are not about checking out the latest party
or movie, but about trying to secure a new, lower, mortgage rate
