Financial/Vocational: College is expensive.  With the advent of the student loan and the ease and availability of many classes catering to a wide range of student demands, it can become very easy to get lost in a financial quagmire. At the same time, many people have staked their college experience on someone else's dollar. Who is paying for your education? How long will it take to pay off those loans? Is the CD that you bought for ten dollars today going to cost you about one hundred dollars, adjusted for student credit card interest? How do you go about getting a job on campus? Is it better to work on or off campus?

Life is about setting priorities. Ask yourself this: what is your number one priority right now? We'll guess that many of you said school. However, what about food and shelter and security? If paying the rent is your number one priority, that does not mean that school is not important to you, it just means that you have placed a priority over school. Recognize that! Some people in our society don't have to worry about where the next rent payment is coming from; some don't ever make a payment, having the time and luxury of having others do that for them.

Is this the right time to be in college? Unlike public school, college requires payment up front (public school just bills you and your parents over time through income and sales tax).  Is ASU too expensive? Are there alternate ways to receive that education? What are the competitors charging? Is there someone who could help you budget your money more effectively? Are there jobs you can obtain now that will help you secure employment down the road?  We can't give you those answers. We don't know the answer for you. But maybe some of the following will assist you in answering those questions:
