A "windshield" decal shall be fully affixed to the lower left (driver's side) windshield of an automobile entirely by its own adhesive. A "hanger" decal, adhered to issued hanger, shall be displayed by hanging it from the rear view mirror. The hanger decal is movable to other vehicles/license plates that are registered to that decal at Parking and Transit Services prior to being displayed on the vehicle. Motorcycle decals shall be attached by the decal's own adhesive to the top of the front fender or to the front fork in a conspicuous place.
If a vehicle cover is used, the owner has the responsibility of ensuring that the license number of that vehicle is displayed and clearly visible on the cover. The cover must also be easily raised to view the decal.
