TABLE: RECOMMENDED COURSE
WUG December 1994

What is the Recommended Course table?
The Recommended Course table contains information about the courses an advisor has indicated a student should take for the semester. The advisor id giving the recommendation is included in each row. These course recommendations may be canceled throughout the semester.

What is the key (unique identifier for a row) for Recommended Course?
Affiliate ID, semester, campus, and course id is the key for the table.

What is the timing of the table?
An entry is made into the Recommended Course Table when the student by the advisor either prior to or during an advising session. The information for a semester will not be updated once the last processing day for that semester has passed.

Why would you use it?
See what courses are being recommended.

What should you watch out for?
The userid of the person entering the course recommendation will appear on the record. This may not be the advisor's userid.

The Mandatory Advising System was created in 1991 so data prior to this time does not exist.
