TABLE: COURSE OVERRIDE APPROVAL

WUG December 1994

What is the Course Override Approval table?
The Course Overrides Issued table contains information about overrides issued to students so they may enroll in courses or classes which would normally be denied to them. Each student may have several of these records per semester. There may be only one active of these per student per course/class, per override type.

What is the key (unique identifier for a row) for Course Overrides Used?
Affiliate ID, semester, campus, course id, schedule line number, maintenance date, and type of override is the key for the table.

What is the timing of the table?
An entry is made into the Course Overrides Issued Table by the advisor in advance of the student registering for a class or course. An entry may also be made when the student registers for a class or course and the student has a 'paper' override. The registration worker will indicate the override on the Registration (RG36) screen.

Why would you use it?
Use the Course Overrides Issued table to determine how many students have or have not used overrides.

Use the table to see how many overrides were granted through the Mandatory Advising screens and the registration screen.

What should you watch out for?
The Mandatory Advising System was created in 1991 so data prior to this time does not exist.
