CSW Holiday Drive
Benefitting Valley Foster Children
November 5th through November 26th
Tough economic times have raised the needs of individuals and families in our community – the holiday season is a particularly challenging time. Already, many charities find themselves with greater need and less donations to fill those needs.
In the spirit of community, the ASU Commission on the Status of Women is coordinating a holiday drive to benefit one of our community's neediest populations, valley foster children.
The CSW is hosting the drive to benefit Arizonans for Children, a valley non-profit organization that provides services and resources to foster children. Each year, the organization hosts a holiday event for foster children at which they are given several gifts. Last year over 700 children attended this event. Most of the foster children that attend live in group home situations -- and the gifts that they receive at this event are likely the only ones that they will receive this holiday season.
Listed below drop off locations and a list of suggested items. These are just suggested items, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Every donation is significant and can make a huge difference in the life of a child this holiday season! Something simple such as a pair of socks or a small toy car can fill a need and bring joy to a child.
By donating to the CSW drive, you are directly making a difference in the life of a needy child this holiday season. Please consider donating today.
If you have any questions regarding the holiday drive, please contact the CSW office at asucsw@asu.edu or Karen Engler, CSW Coordinator Sr. at Karen.Engler@asu.edu
