This course will introduce students to strategies, formats, and techniques of presenting information to business and other workplace audiences.
On completion of this course, students will be able to:
This is an Internet course. Because it is a summer course, you have much less time to complete work than you would during a regular semester. Read the Course Guidelines and Policies and Course Introduction. Review all information posted in Blackboard. Be sure you understand what will be expected of you.
All assignments are expected to be completed on time. See course evaluation section below for information on grading and Blackboard for information on assignments and due dates.
You will primarily be working on your own to complete assignments. However, you will be sharing a draft of your final report with another student in the class for peer editing and feedback.
Graduate Students: Students registered for graduate credit (TWC547) will complete an additional assignment.

All assignments are to be completed and turned in by the due date listed in the Schedule section of Blackboard. Late assignments will not be accepted for any reason other than family or medical emergency. If you cannot complete an assignment on time, contact me in advance of the due date.
Throughout this course, you will be composing documents for a variety of audiences and purposes. Your writing should at all times be professional and consist of proper tone, style, formatting, language, and grammar.
