Where do the light rays converge if they have passed through a convex lens? From the picture, we see that the light rays (incident from the left) converge on the right side after passing through the double convex lens.

Similarly, if light rays had been coming from the right side in the same fashion (crossing at the focal point), they would pass through the lens and emerge parallel on the left side.
