In this class we use "gapped" lecture notes. The idea is that the tedious part of the note-taking is done for you, so that you spend less time in lecture writing, and more time listening and learning. The gaps represent those parts of the material that I think need to be emphasized, or that you need to learn how to to write and/or draw yourself. The gaps also prevent you from falling completely asleep at 7:30 AM! You don't HAVE to use these notes, you could make your own notes, however, I strongly encourage you to use them.

After we have finished each section of the notes in class, I will post my completed version so that you can make sure that you have no gaps or mistakes. You will need to make sure that your notes are complete since I may not always have time to cover every detail in class.

The "gapped" versions of the notes are given below, in the form of .pdf files. You can either print these and bring them to lecture, or you can save some money by purchasing the entire gapped notes set from "The Alternative" Copy Shop, directly across from ASU off University, at 715 S. Forest Ave (behind the Chuckbox). The cost is $20. They should have copies in stock, but before you go always call ahead, to avoid a long wait in case they are temporarily out of stock. Their number is (480) 829-7992.

You can also order the gapped notes online. Go to the Alphagrahics Website, click on the "ASU Readers" link. The username for this course is "chm233" and the password is "gould102". They offer UPS delivery (included in the price), or express 1-2 day delivery at extra cost.
