An ASU Professor Peter Wonka, a animator has set a goal to have various wood, and stone in or more 3D content. My part was to scan various types of wood in the Laser scanner, which would gather a more realistic computer scan of wood. Mr Wonka hopes to use the scans to make a complex pattern the use it as a texture in the animations.
