A necessary condition for ensuring that interns develop and demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and individual differences of human diversity is the presence of that sensitivity within our own agency. Diversity encompasses major aspects of human development and interaction, as well as individual and group identity. Within C&C's culture there are differences in professional discipline, including social work, psychiatry, psychology and counseling. Each discipline brings with it a unique perspective for understanding our clients. Our differences, including those in culture, language, symbols, spirituality, sexual orientation, affiliation, physical and mental ability are recognized as positive contributions to the overall fabric of human existence.
