RESEARCH THAT MATTERS
The Lodestar
Center strives to produce and disseminate relevant, useful
research to nonprofit organizations — research that helps
make decisions, clarify issues, assist with policy and improve
day-to-day practice. Some of our research projects have included
the following:
- Benefits
and compensation
studies of nonprofit organizations in Coconino and Maricopa
counties
- Reports
on the size, scope, and diversity of nonprofit organizations
that exist in Arizona
- Studies
on household giving and individual volunteering in Arizona
- Research
on effective collaboration models across the country
- Successful
recruitment strategies, key processes and crucial structures
of high-performing boards
- The
availability of youth
sports and physical activity programs offered throughout
Maricopa
County
- Various survey
research projects to understand better the mission, programs,
governance, constituent relations, and performance of Arizona
nonprofits.
While this is certainly not an exhaustive list, it demonstrates
our commitment to providing knowledge and tools for those
who lead, manage and support nonprofit organizations.
