Blalock selected for nonprofit leadership academy

Ahwatukee Foothills resident Barbara Blalock with Treasures 4 Teachers has been selected to participate in Class II of the Generation Next Nonprofit Leadership Academy, a cohort of the Valley's top emerging nonprofit leaders.

Participants are selected through a competitive process for the program that will provide them the knowledge and tools needed to take on leadership roles within the nonprofit community. The nine-month program is comprised of best practice approaches to leading and managing nonprofits, from renowned professors and practitioner instructors at Arizona State University, as well as established nonprofit leaders from organizations that engage with the ASU Lodestar Center.

Treasures 4 Teachers was started five years ago in Blalock's garage and is now in a 10,000-square-foot facility in Tempe. For information, visit www.treasures4teachers.org.
