Nonprofit and Philanthropic Studies - Where have we been and where are we going?
The BenchMark 3 conference will consider how far the field of nonprofit and philanthropic studies has come in the last 30 years, describe current conditions, and consider future trajectories.
BenchMark 3 invites wide participation by U.S. based and international:
- University Representatives - scholars, teachers, students, and administrators
- Nonprofit and NGO Leaders - executives, board members, and consultants
- Key Stakeholders - funders, alumni, community leaders and others interested in the field of nonprofit/NGO education, philanthropic studies, education for a civil society, and related fields.
Topics include:
- Educational Programs: mapping the field
in the US and internationally
- Institutionalization and Sustainability
- Disciplinary Linkages
- Practice Linkages
- Curricular Content
- External Forces: the environment in which the nonprofit sector operates
Topics will be considered across the range of educational levels including undergraduate, graduate, professional development (continuing education), and executive education programs.
