| OUR VISION
The
Lodestar Center exists to promote the understanding of the
nonprofit sector and philanthropy in community life with a
particular focus on effective practices that help organizations
meet their missions. The Center serves as an effective and
respected catalyst to promote the understanding and improved
practice of those who lead, manage and support nonprofit organizations
in Maricopa County, Arizona, the Southwest region and the
nation.
The Center's prominent stature serves as a source of pride
for students, faculty, community partners and citizens who
benefit from its outcomes. The Center enhances the university's
historic role to "create, promote, preserve, disseminate and
apply knowledge" as its outcomes are communicated and replicated.
