Kickball Tournament!
Hey Everyone!I just wanted to let you know that there is a kickball tournament this Saturday at 3:00pm at the SRC Fields. Winner gets a trophy and a check written out to a charity with their name on it.
STEP is putting together a team so if you would like to play. Email me back as soon as possible or just show up to the field out play. Registration costs $3 and all benefits go the Save the Family Foundation. So if you are interested in playing, we would love to see you there. Anyone is welcome,and you can bring your friends! Let me know if you can make it!

S.T.E.P. Multicultural Honor Society Book Scholarship Application
S.T.E.P. Members,A quick reminder!
The 2008 S.T.E.P. Multicultural Honor Society Book Scholarship Application is due APRIL 22, 2008 in the S.T.E.P. Mailbox at the Multicultural Student Center (3rd Floor Student Services). The amount of the scholarship is $250 and the winner will be announced at our annual banquet. I have attached the scholarship application. Please review the scholarship. This is another great opportunity for you to get money to pay for your books next semester.
The application is shorter then most scholarships so I encourage everyone to apply. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Devils In Disguise!
On Saturday, March 29, 2008, we will be volunteering in the largest ASU community service event organized by students for students. Please sign up online by clicking the link below. I will have a sign up sheet on Tuesday at our meeting incase you haven’t signed up and would like to do so. We will be meeting at the Student Services Lawn @ 9a.m. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided to and from the site.S.T.E.P. has their own site where we will be volunteering so, make sure to sign up under S.T.E.P. We will be volunteering downtown Phoenix at the National Alliance of Mental Illness Walk. We will be face painting, blowing up balloons, guiding walkers, cleaning up, and helping vendors check out. It will be a lot of FUN!!! Don’t miss out and sign up as soon as you can. We get first priority to have our members sign up, but other students can sign up too!!! So, don’t wait too long!

Habitat For Humanity
Dear S.T.E.P. members:This Saturday, Nov. 10 we will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity at a site in Chandler. We will be working with the team leaders to help finish constructing a house.
What: Habitat for Humanity
When: Saturday, Nov. 10
Where: Site in Chandler
Time: 7am to 2pm
We will be meeting at ASU and carpooling to the site. I will have directions and maps available for all volunteers. Lunch will be provided at the site. Further details will be sent out to those who sign up. There will also be a sign up sheet at the meeting on Tuesday.

Car Wash
Attention S.T.E.P. Members!This Saturday (Nov 3rd) we are having a S.T.E.P. Fundraising Car Wash at Del Taco just east of University and Rural from 10AM - 3PM. Please come out and show your support by volunteering or attending. Please e-mail me back the attached sign-in sheet with the times that you can help out as soon as possible. We are also selling pre-sale tickets which can be picked up at the Multicultural Student Center (MSC) on the 3rd floor of the Student Services Building via Rhea Gomez. S.T.E.P. members you can pick up tickets to sell so I encourage everyone to stop by the MSC A.S.A.P. to help out our organization.

S.T.E.P. Cold Stone Fundraiser!
To start off our new and exciting semester we are hosting our first fundraiser Tuesday October 9th from 5:00-8:00PM at the Cold Stone Creamery on Mill Avenue! The way the fundraiser works is if we get as many people as possible out to Cold Stone Creamery on Tuesday October 9th from 5:00-8:00PM we will get 15% of the profits made during that time. This means that we have to invite everyone and get as many people as we can out to Cold Stone during this time so they can speed up their slow time and we can make 15%. We will also be having our general meeting this day and afterwards we'll be walking to Cold Stone to help support our organization! Please inform all of your friends, classmates and other organizations, so forward the information to all and we'll have flyers for you on Friday at the BBQ. A workshop sponsored by STEP, which will be held on October 10th from 5:30 - 7:30pm in the Memorial Union Room 203 (Gold Room). This event will discuss powerful concepts and programs made to help any interested person to get from where you are, to where you want to be. Featuring guest speakers CEO Vincent Del Franco & An Nguyen.
This event is open for anyone who is interested so plese spread the word.Hope you can all make it!

RSVP: preferably by Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Email any E-Board Member.
We are asking that you RSVP for the BBQ ASAP preferably by Wednesday, September 26, so we can figure out how much food we need to get. In addition to this, if it is possible, we are asking that members make a $2 donation to help offset the cost for food.
This BBQ is open to all S.T.E.P. members, and it is especially geared for first time members to get to know each other as well as the older members and just hang out. We encourage all S.T.E.P. members – old and new alike – to come hang out, eat some good food, play games, and have a good time. Feel free to pass by at anytime during the afternoon. We will be hanging out, playing games, jamming to some music, and having lots of fun! See you there!
